Check it out! These youth from Traverse City, Michigan plan to visit the Pavilion Nursing Home to visit with the elderly residents. Their youth adviser, Elizabeth Pine, says they have completed steps towards volunteering at the assisted living facility.

This fall, the youth plan to begin visiting their new friends. They want to help residents create scrapbooks of their lives to give to their families.

These PeaceJammers are spreading the smiles! Do you have ideas for activities these youth can do with their new friends? Share in the comment section below!

I would love to hear how the scrapbook project is going and what the youth have learned about themselves from members of the assisted living community, as well as results of the project!
