On Saturday May 6th, Mentors and students from PeaceJam NW will be getting their hands dirty at Food for Lane County's Youth Farm from 10am- 4pm. There will be two shifts from 10-1 and 1-4. Choose one, or work both. We hope to see you there.
PJNW Club at Ridgeline Montessori Up for a Project Award
Middle school teacher and PeaceJam NW Adviser Jon Labrousse, of Ridgeline Montessori School in Eugene, is up for a PeaceJam project award! It's down to 3 contenders and the winner gets two plane tickets to attend an International PeaceJam conference. Of the three finalists, whoever can get the most Acts of Peace logged in their name will win. Our region can help him by:
- committing an act of peace or kindness in your school or community,
- logging the act HERE
- referencing "Eugene" when you give your act a name (ex., "helped help feed the hungry- Eugene")
Even if you held an act recently, for Earth Day, or in the past couple weeks, you can still log the act to help Jon win the challenge. Log it soon, though, the deadline for counting Acts of Peace is this Friday, April 28th.
